Shipping & Delivery Policy

Scope of Service
Lighting Equipment Pty Ltd provides comprehensive shipping solutions for mobile light towers across all Australian states and territories. If you do not wish to organize your own transport, our logistics team will manage the process from our warehouse to your specified site or depot.
Freight Methods & Carriers
Due to the dimensions and weight of mobile light towers, we utilize specialized heavy-haulage carriers.
-
Tow-Away Service: For road-registered trailer-mounted towers.
-
Flatbed/Drop-Deck Trailers: For bulk orders or skid-mounted units.
-
Hiab/Crane Truck Delivery: Available for sites requiring precise placement or where unloading facilities (like forklifts) are unavailable.
Shipping Quotes & Costs
-
Variable Pricing: Shipping costs are calculated based on distance, unit dimensions, and current fuel levies.
-
Formal Quotes: All shipping costs provided in your sales quote are valid for 7 days.
-
Redelivery Fees: If a delivery fails due to incorrect site information or the absence of an authorized receiver, additional redelivery and storage fees will apply.
Site Access & Unloading
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the delivery site is accessible for heavy vehicles (including B-Doubles where applicable).
-
Unloading Equipment: Unless “Hiab Delivery” is specifically booked, the customer must have a forklift or crane with sufficient lifting capacity (refer to the unit’s tare weight) ready upon arrival.
-
Safety: Our drivers reserve the right to refuse delivery if the site access is deemed unsafe or if the ground is too unstable for the equipment weight.
Delivery Timelines
We aim to dispatch “In-Stock” units within 3–5 business days of cleared payment.
-
Metro Areas: 2–5 business days from dispatch.
-
Regional/Remote Areas: 5–12 business days from dispatch.
-
Note: While we strive for punctuality, Lighting Equipment Pty Ltd is not liable for project delays caused by third-party transport disruptions or extreme weather events.
Transit Insurance
All shipments organized by Lighting Equipment Pty Ltd include basic transit insurance. However, our liability ends once the unit is successfully unloaded and signed for. We strongly recommend customers hold their own “Goods in Transit” or “Plant and Equipment” insurance for high-value assets.
Damage in Transit
Upon arrival, please inspect the light tower for any transit damage (e.g., stone chips, cracked lenses, or structural shifts).
-
Reporting: Any damage must be noted on the driver’s Proof of Delivery (POD) and reported to our office within 24 hours.
-
Resolution: We will prioritize the dispatch of replacement parts or a mobile technician to rectify any verified transit damage.
Important Note on “Remote” Deliveries
For deliveries to mine sites or remote cattle stations, please provide the specific GPS coordinates and a site contact name/number. Deliveries to “unmanned” sites will not be attempted.
