Returns & Warranty Policy
Last updated: March 25, 2026
At Lighting Equipment Pty Ltd, we understand that mobile light towers are significant investments critical to your project’s success. Our policy is designed to be as sturdy as our equipment, ensuring clarity and fairness for both parties.
14-Day “Change of Mind” Return
We offer a 14-day return window from the date of delivery. Because of the size and technical nature of mobile light towers, the following conditions apply:
-
Condition: The unit must be in “as-new” condition, with zero meter hours (excluding factory testing) and no signs of site use or cosmetic damage.
-
Restocking Fee: A 15% restocking fee applies to cover technical inspection, detailing, and administrative costs.
-
Transport: The customer is responsible for the cost and arrangement of safe transport back to our designated warehouse.
Warranty & Manufacturing Defects
Your light tower is backed by our Standard Manufacturer’s Warranty.
-
Coverage: Protects against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
-
Engine & Alternator: These components are often covered by their respective global manufacturers (e.g., Mitsubishi, Kubota, Perkins, Mecc Alte). We will facilitate these claims on your behalf.
-
Exclusions: Damage caused by improper towing, fuel contamination, lack of scheduled maintenance, or “acts of God” (lightning strikes, floods) is not covered.
Non-Returnable Items
-
Custom Builds: Units modified with bespoke features (e.g., custom paint, specialized communication arrays, or non-standard outlet configurations).
-
Consumables: Filters, fluids, and light globes (unless defective upon arrival).
-
Used Equipment: Clearance or “ex-demo” units are sold “as-is” unless otherwise specified in the sales contract.
The Return Process
-
Request an RMA: Contact our service department to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
-
Inspection: Once the unit arrives at our facility, our technicians will conduct a multi-point inspection.
-
Refund/Credit: Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 business days via the original payment method, minus applicable restocking fees and transport costs.
Note: Proper maintenance is the best way to avoid returns. Always refer to your Operator’s Manual for stabilization and towing procedures to ensure the longevity of your equipment.
